Hatem Alaa is the head of our consumer and healthcare team covering a diverse range of stocks (food, retail, healthcare, pharma, education) in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. Hatem joined EFG Hermes in 2011 and worked on eight IPOs in the food, education, retail, payments and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining EFG Hermes, Hatem worked for five years at HC Securities and Investment as a sell-side analyst, where he led a team that covered a number of diversified sectors in MENA. Hatem is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
